چکیده
Fast pyrolysis bio-oil requires upgrading in order to be used as an intermediate refinery stream it contains various acids, oxygenates, heavy compounds and water. This work examines the potential of integrating organic phase (called BioMates) a hydrotreated reliable co-processed with light cycle oil (LCO) towards production hybrid fuels. Three blends BioMates LCO were fed hydroprocessing pilot plant (10/90, 20/80 30/70 v/v BioMates/LCO). The dedicated tests aimed study effect on hydrodesulphurization performance, hydrogen consumption, product quality catalyst life. results have confirmed that over 85% per weight final is between 60 360 °C boiling range exhibit favorable fuel properties. technology can process up 30% volume without any significant technical limitation, while reducing consumption 8.9%. Finally, based findings, no clogging or permanent loss effectiveness was observed after 37 days stream.

Catalytic Hydrotreatment of Light Distillates Obtained from Bio-Oil for Use in Oxygenated Liquid Fuels
Bio-oil can be fractionated into three parts according to their boiling points. This research reported that light distillates could be converted into oxygenated liquid fuels through a two-stage hydrotreatment approach, using a Pd/C catalyst. The main goal of the first hydrotreatment stage was to stabilize the high active components, which contained carbon–carbon double bonds and aldehyde groups...

The aldol condensation of model compounds furfural and acetone on the selected base catalysts have been performed. The activity of MgO was compared with industrially produced hydrotalcite and the series laboratory prepared hydrotalcites. Si×MAl2O4 hydrotalcites (M = Mg, Zn, Ni, Co, Cu, and Fe) were prepared by the solgel method at low calcination temperature of 300°C. The properties of the cata...

The major challenge for the pyrolytic conversion of lignocellulosic materials into crude bio-oil is the poor quality of the final product. Several strategies (addition of solvents, production of emulsions, and extraction with biodiesel) have been studied to improve its fuel properties. The extraction with biodiesel is an interesting solution because it allows direct utilization of some bio-oil ...
متن کاملEmissions tradeoffs among alternative marine fuels: total fuel cycle analysis of residual oil, marine gas oil, and marine diesel oil.
Worldwide concerns about sulfur oxide (SOx) emissions from ships are motivating the replacement of marine residual oil (RO) with cleaner, lower-sulfur fuels, such as marine gas oil (MGO) and marine diesel oil (MDO). Vessel operators can use MGO and MDO directly or blended with RO to achieve environmental and economic objectives. Although expected to be much cleaner in terms of criteria pollutan...
